The Web3 revolution is in full swing and one of its most dynamic sector is the Gamefi and Metaverse industry. Leading the charge is Axie Infinity which grew from 3,000 Daily active users in the early days in 2021 to over 3 million by the end of 2021! Other promising gamefi projects came on the scene promising brand new experiences such as My Neighbor Alice, Mines of Dalarnia, Illuvium and Star Atlas. Add to that a wave of validation for metaverse projects like The Sandbox and Decentraland when Facebook pivoted to become Meta, the future looked extremely bright.

On the other side, we had what we would call the evolution of investing with the popularity of decentralized token sale platforms such as Polkastarter, Paid/Ignition, Trustpad and many more. More popularly known as launchpads, these platform allows anyone to participate in a public sale of tokens of upcoming crypto projects from DEFI to Gamefi to Layer 1s to Layer2s to DAO tokens and meme tokens.

Now, as one of the most active investor in the space (Exnetworkcapital.com), we have first hand experience on how these sectors interacted during their hyper growth. And we have come to the conclusion that Gamefi, Play to earn, metaverses and nft-heavy projects require a specialized platform to make them the next big blockbuster not just on token listing but towards an active living breathing ecosystem around their product. A one-size fits all launchpad just can not help make a game or a metaverse fulfill its true potential.

So we have built – Gamepad.co!

Gamepad.co is a decentralized accelerator of Gamefi, Play-to-earn & Metaverse projects. We recognized that these experience-based projects require a different touch than the layer 1s and 2s, the defi protocols, the crypto wallets and tradition crypto products and have structured an acceleration program that further ensures a high quality product with a high quality support network. In theory, any games going through Gamepad will have be more likely to be a long term success on a fundamental level.

Our acceleration program consists of four phases:

  1. Prep – This is where we fine tune the narrative and the pitch, mentor the team, get opinions of the council and assemble a highly strategic list of allies for the long term.
  2. Launch – With our network of content providers and communities we prepare the materials to communicate the special qualities of the projects to expand its supporters and prepare a decentralization of assets thru a public sale.
  3. Grow – This phase covers the road to the playable build and where we help keep the community up to date and actively improve the game in the beta testing period so the final product grows and thrives.
  4. Play – Here we prepare the team and its allies splash big with their product. Gameplay and In-game events are the focus.

With this structure, Gamepad.co hopes to be the top decentralized Ycombinator of blockchain powered worlds.
